À TOUS CEUX QUI NE ME LISENT PAS
Synopsis
All his life, Yves dragged his suitcase to anyone who would welcome him to devote himself entirely to poetry. As charming as he is confronting, he arrives like a storm in the lives of Dyane and her son Marc, a studious teenager who could do without this stranger in his mother's bed. But the poet's rebellious spirit is contagious and pushes Marc to think outside the box while Yves gets bogged down in a daily life that is too small for him. He will try to change everything in one last great coup before realizing that alone at the end of the world, his words no longer mean anything. To all those who don't read me tells the quest for absolutes of a man who will have to open up to others so as not to end up forgotten between two cookbooks.
To all those who don't read me is freely inspired by the life and work of Quebec poet Yves Boisvert (1950-2012). The writer, originally from L’Avenir, is particularly known for having participated in the birth of the first Trois-Rivières International Poetry Festival. Winner of several prizes, his body of work includes around thirty publications, including the triptych Peripheral Cultures (Les Chaouins, La pensee niaiseuse, Mélanie St-Laurent).
