THE COCA-COLA CASE

Synopsis
In some countries, we don't bother with trade unionists. We kill them! Since 2002, and in Colombia alone, more than 470 worker leaders have been killed by paramilitary militias in the pay of companies ready to do anything to prevent their employees from unionizing. Among these unscrupulous companies would be the very icon of American capitalism: Coca-Cola!

Directors German Gutiérrez and Carmen Garcia present a damning indictment of the Coca-Cola empire, suspected of being involved in the kidnapping, torture and murder of union leaders who fought for improved working conditions in Colombia, in Guatemala and Turkey.

The filmmakers follow labor lawyers Daniel Kovalik and Terry Collingsworth, as well as activist Ray Rogers, director of the Stop Killer-Coke! drinks to answer for its actions in this legal battle for human rights.
